Due to overwhelming demand, we have now closed the reserve list also. If you have already booked tickets to the zoo via The 22Crew online or on paper, or through GOSH or Max Appeal, and are now unable to visit the zoo, please inform us so that we may release your tickets to those on the reserve list.

Join 22q families everywhere for a fun-filled awareness day taking place simultaneously at zoos all over the world on Sunday, May 22 2011! 

Our event will be at the ZSL London Zoo, one of the world's most famous zoos, in Regents Park, London, UK. We thank our friends at The International 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome Foundation for co-ordinating this fantastic event.

We want you to come and enjoy the zoo, a special day out. We have hired the rather grand Prince Albert Suite, which looks great on the zoo’s web site. It has views of the Zoo’s Barclay Court, overlooks Gorilla Kingdom and the Gibbons.

Activities in the Prince Albert Suite will include:

• a bar to buy a drink (soft drinks £1.30, coffee/tea), 
• Or just chill out for a bit, especially if the weather isn’t too kind, after all this is England!

If you prefer, you can bring your own picnic to enjoy in the picnic area, or buy food at various eateries in the zoo.  Picnics are not allowed in the Prince Albert Suite. There will be awesome T-shirts you can buy now (or from a limited selection of sizes on the day) to advertise and celebrate the event.

Come and say "Hi" to 22q kids and families around the world!!

We hope to link up by video link via Skype with other families and children in zoos all around Europe and North America, showing on a big screen in the Prince Albert Suite.

Date, day, time and place

• Date: 22^nd May, a Sunday.
• Come to the Events entrance for the Prince Albert Suite, which is near the main entrance to the zoo.
• Meet up at 11 am to collect pre-paid t-shirts, have a drink before going to visit the animals and say Hi to other 22q families at the zoo (and over the video link if other centres can get hooked up too).
• Meet up after your lunch at 3 pm to say Goodbye, and a last wave to other families over the video link. The zoo is open up to 5 pm.

We anticipate that there will be photographers and journalists from the newspapers to help spread the message about the day and why it important to increase awareness.

Inclement Weather

In case of bad weather, please bring a bag or small box of your child’s clearly labelled toys to keep them amused.  You may leave the toys in the Prince Albert Suite whilst you visit the animals.  The room is for our exclusive use, however any belongings left are at your own risk.  There will be activity booklets available for children aged over 4 years.

The 22Crew, the UK's new 22q deletion syndrome charitable organisation, are organising London's participation in this worldwide event. Launched on 2/2/11, The 22Crew are dedicated to funding research and providing social, educational and medical support for all those affected by 22q deletion syndrome.
